Rock Baby CT Tut for SPU
This tutorial was written on September 7, 2013. Any
similarity to any other tut is purely coincidental. I use PSP X5, but you
should be able to do this in any version.
You
Will Need:
Tube
of choice. I used “Biker Princess” by Zlata_M.
You must have a license to use her work. This particular tube is the bonus from
a Zlata quest at PFD. You can find it,
and other Zlata tubes, here.
Gradient:
Patriotic 1 from CapriciousScraps
Terms
to Know:
C&P-Copy
and paste
SAFDI-Selections>Select
All>Float>Defloat>Invert
SAFD-Selections>Select
All>Float>Defloat
DS-Drop
Shadow (The settings I used for all my DS layers were: 5, -5, 50, 5, black)
Crop
to Selection- Ctrl+a on the layer below the one you just pasted a paper (or
object) on. Back to the paper (or object) and Shift+r.
Center
in Canvas- Objects>Align>Center in Canvas
Apply
Mask- Layers>New Mask Layer>From Image and choose your mask.
Add
Noise- Image>Add/Remove Noise>Add Noise (My default settings are
Gaussian, 50%, Monochrome)
All instructions
regarding tubes assume you are using the same tube I did. If you use a
different one, adjust size/placement accordingly.
© Open paper 1, promote background
layer, open and apply mask, resize 111%, Center in Canvas, merge group.
© Open frame 3, C&P,
resize 117%, place where you like it. Using the Magic Wand tool, select the
inside of the frames, expand 5, Layers*New Layer, Flood Fill with gradient
(linear, 320 angle, no repeats), add noise, select none, drag below frame
layer.
© Open element 18,
C&P, resize 44%, place inside one of the frames, change layer properties to
Luminance (L). Duplicate twice, place inside the other two frames. Activate
frame layer, merge down 4 times (frame, stars, and frame backs should all be
one layer). Free rotate left 90 degrees, place on right side of tag, duplicate,
flip horizontal, flip vertical, place on left side of the tag.
© Open element 26,
C&P, free rotate left 30 degrees, move to upper left corner, duplicate,
flip horizontal, move to upper right corner, merge down.
© Open element 16, C&P,
resize 79%, place in lower right corner.
© Open element 4,
C&P, place where you like it.
© Open tube, C&P,
resize 88%, place where you like it.
© Open element 34,
C&P, resize 161%, place where you like. Activate tube, SAFD. Back on
element, erase anything you want to be “behind” the tube (see my pic for
reference). Activate the element 26 layer, SAFD. Back on element 34, erase
inside the marching ants on the right-side middle wand, select none.
© Select your Text Tool
and write your name. I used American Dream 72 pt, 1 pt stroke.
Place where you like it, Convert to Raster, SAFD, Expand 5, Layers*New Layer, Flood
Fill with color of choice, and drag below text, Add Noise if you want. Activate
text, Merge Down.
© Add DS to any layers
you want. Add your CR info and you’re done! Thanks for using my tut J!
